In my paintings I use the vibrant colors that influenced me in my 20’s while living and working in Spain. I explored galleries and museums by day and the small cafes and theaters at night. The gypsy flamenco dancers, singers and guitarists fascinated me. I love to capture their passion, energy, movement and mystery into a symphony of color and joy on canvas.

Acrylic is my medium of choice. It fosters greater creativity and spontaneity as I can paint continuously to complete the present mood or feeling. Because it dries quickly I am able to use many layers of glazing medium and integrate a variety of materials. I pour, splatter, drip, mark, lift and brush on gallery wrap canvas. I approach painting with no preconceived ideas about the finished piece but rather let intuition guide me and my response.

I currently maintain a studio gallery in Tucson, Arizona.

I will be adding more paintings in the future as painting is my passion.
